Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. Many landscape photographs show little or no human activity and are created in the pursuit of a pure, unsullied depiction of nature, devoid of human influence—instead featuring subjects such as strongly defined landforms, weather, and ambient light. As with most forms of art, the definition of a landscape photograph is broad.

On my landscape photography workshops, due to the vastness of the subject, you can learn everything from:

  • Planning the shoot
  • Cameras and lenses for landscape photography
  • Other essential camera gear
  • Learning the different settings on your camera
  • Long exposure photography using various filters
  • HDR photography using bracketing.
  • Various compositions and how to frame your image
  • Post processing - Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

If there isn't a workshop tailored to your needs here, please contact me to arrange one. Not only will you get to learn about landscape photography, but you will get to see and experience some amazing views and places.

Generally seasonal, workshops will be set across New South Wales. Focus will be placed on snow, waterfall (long exposure) and astrophotography during the cooler months. Sunrise/sunsets, nature and seascape photography will be the focus during the warmer months. However workshops are certainly not limited to these areas during the specified months.
